Description
Toyota Techstream v17.20 in a ready-to-run virtual machine. This is the version many workshops kept on an old laptop: Techstream 17 runs on Windows XP, which is exactly what some older Mini-VCI and Mongoose interfaces were set up for. Instead of hunting down an XP licence, an old PC and a matching Techstream build, you add the .utm bundle to UTM and start the machine.
What arrives

What Techstream v17.20 does
- Toyota, Lexus and Scion dealer-level diagnostics: read and clear DTCs, live data lists, active tests and service functions on the systems the version supports.
- Works with the J2534 pass-through cables this generation of Techstream was built for (Mini-VCI and similar), including older vehicles that later versions handle differently.
- Useful as a second, isolated environment: keep a working XP/Techstream image separate from your main workshop computer.

- Windows XP is a legacy system with no security updates. Keep the virtual machine’s network adapter disconnected while you work and use it only for Techstream and your cable.
- This is a pre-configured community image, not a Toyota product and not an installer from Toyota. Use it only on vehicles and data you are authorised to service.
- A 4.8 GB download needs a stable connection; if it breaks, the link can be used again within the 10-download allowance.
